GENERAL SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION

GridShell/Condor

Short Description: System for building Condor pools across TeraGrid clusters.

Long Description:
GridShell/Condor creates virtual Condor pools across TeraGrid clusters connected through Globus. The system provides a single Condor submission interface to the entire heterogeneous collection of computational resources on the TeraGrid. GridShell/Condor uses GridShell to provide a transparent execution framework for submitting, and maintaining, condor starter daemons in a local batch queuing systems on the TeraGrid clusters. Users submit, control and query jobs running across TeraGrid through the utilities provided by the Condor system.
