IDLGeneral InformationShort Description: Interactive Data Language for sci viz Long Description: Interactive Data Language is a simple Basic/Fortran-like language for data processing and scientific visualization. It is very flexible and has recently added object-oriented language features as well as a highly developed set of graphical widgets and tools. It can output postscript images (not bitmaps... this is *real* postscript which means smooth fonts and graphics at any resolution) which makes it ideal for publication quality graphics.
