Now that we have migrated to ProPack5 I've built the latest version of PETSc (2.3.3-p13) with the default Intel compiler (10.1) and MKL (10.0).
If you are using a PETSc makefile then set:

setenv PETSC_DIR /usr/apps/math/petsc/petsc-2.3.3-p13

and

setenv PETSC_ARCH intel10_mpt_$bopt

and replace $bopt with one of g g_c++ g_complex O O_c++ O_complex.
